On first try... The initial arrangement doesn't let much free room, so it was obvious to me how to do it and I had fortunately no 2 off. The two save kinda elevates this from bad to great. Very tricky. :))
Great find, screwtape! :) Very cool. Lots of close paths. My only complaint is a completely extraneous row near the bottom.
