Well, I was off and on on that level for a long time, always stuck 2 off. And right now, a few seconds ago, it seems I did something different, because I won! Only... What was that? I can't identify the 2 steps saver...

I understood and can hardly believe it: it was just a matter of ordering, nothing more. So I worked all those times on finding a different route, while I was on the right one but just needed to do something a bit later... ROFL
Found the two 2-offs (along with like four 4-offs lol). One of them is obviously fully optimal, but here's hoping the other one is actually still unoptimized, and not just another red herring...

Well, I can at least assert that there are two well-placed two-off paths :P I haven't beaten it yet, but it's well-made and fun to play.
