One of the few levels that I encountered so far that has such a big step count off from the exit while still seeming like its the best route. Also, great 2 step cut that was in my blind spot that I ignored because it seemed longer to do but I guess you never know until you try.
(10 years ago) 6 off is the best I can do, in over a 100 tries. Very good & hard level. Edit 1: Finally I got an idea, but it's a 6 off, again. :S Edit2: Yesss, in 146th try I found a 2 off. Edit2: TWO different 2 offs, before I got it! GREAT level, with tons of possibilities! 155 tries & world complete, now.

EDIT 2023, 2nd April - finally rebeaten. This time it took me 32 tries. And I loved my 307 path the best. :))
Lovely, well hidden trick. Plenty of play in the other sections too. Took a bit of experimentation to cut the last few steps even after I noticed the main motif.
Oh my goodness that is beautiful. I was stuck 6 off on what seemed like the obvious path to me, but I wasn't able to see anything else. Left it for a few days and when I came back I finally saw the idea. One of the all time greatest PP1 levels.
Initially I was stuck at the 'interesting' 2-off and can't optimize it further. Running out of ideas, decided to try something that I feel impossible anyway... Finally finished and just felt amazed that how this level has so many great paths. I agree with Manti that this level worth more than 5 stars!
This level can blind you really well. Like several people have said the path makes perfect sense once you finally see it, but the varying routes and differences in stepcount at each lock makes this level extremely difficult to isolate exactly where the steps should be cut from and what exactly the return is out of setting up the varying shortcuts. Even after finally getting the major trick down there are still ways to be off. Really a fantastic level. Would rate 6 stars if I could!
Finally got it - this one was tough! Splendid solution. It was hard to keep track of what I had already tried, but in the end this path does make a lot of sense. I really enjoyed playing this level :) There are some very interesting ways to be 2 off as well.
