The last of my shove levels for the moment, This completes the trek across the twenty shove levels inspired by Palm's original "Shove" and the evolved "Shove More" by Hi19. (shoutouts to "Pushover" you shove level wannabe)
It's been a really fun journey through Shove land and to add to Reach's level comment, just looking at the enthusiasm displayed by the community on this one level set via testing/creating/discussing and solving really cements how awesome this community is.
On the level, I had solved Reach inside before I came to this so I think the hardest path of the work here was already done. Just needed to find the right block pushing setup to clear out the holes at the end which still took a bit.
Wow, amazing level. Absolutely outstanding. This should definitely be added to the official game.
*2022 edit* yep liked it just as much the second time through. A really unique and difficult starting area that generates a lot of possible paths with only one true solution. Really well done even if slightly unintentional.
Cleared this guy for my 2,400th clear. Its extremely well optimized and exceedingly tough. Props to Dgriff for catching all these nuances. There are bits where I think some people will see things faster then I did. I had a lot of trouble just spacing out while playing this.
A small edit to this. After some discussions and a bunch more runs after the initial solve, it appears that there are 2 EXTREMELY different solutions that both come out to 705. I almost can't believe there isn't another 2 cut lurking. bumped down to 4.5 because I'm mad about double solutions.
Another really nice short and sweet level that offers a considerable challenge. Patterns like this often arise in larger checkerboard levels and can bring immense pain to the solver. This is a great sample of things to come.
Very much enjoyed this. It’s pretty uncommon I need more then one session for a level under 50 steps anymore and this one delivered. Looking forward to more!
