What a level!
I gave it a few tries, months ago. In first try I even ran out of blocks, LOL. Then I figured out the bases (what goes where), so that was settled, but I was light years away. In next tries I came to 478, but that was my max, just couldn't see any better (468 was Flashback's record, at the time), so I gave up (and forgot about it).
Yesterday I started trying again and somehow at the same time a new record arouse, which was even a bigger challenge. :)))
At first, I was coming closer very slowly, mostly in steps by 2.
There is a certain part, where I was doing things ridiciuosly poorly, all along. After realizing it, I felt really stupid. :) Getting that settled, I soon came to 464, but was completely dry of ideas, where to find the last two steps. Then went to bed. Today I woke up, drank my morning coffe, got one more idea, just sitting on my bench, without even seeing the level, and soon after gave it another try. And it was two steps shorter. :)) Good find, Manti! I don't think I'd find it, haven't you set a challenge. :) And the change that needed to take place, was what I expected (not just a ''one spot'' mistake, which is how I usually fail, lol).
A woderful level, completely agree with what Manti wrote. Goes to my ''mind jewellary'' collection. Really enjoyed searching for the shortest path. If the record changes again, I'll be totally surprised.
Hitting almost every former record along the way 498->494->480->476->472->470 (and stuck for a while)->468->462!!!!!!
This level is surprisingly tough, at first glance it looked like a kinda complicated lock level, but the amount of variations and block placement points is really difficult to tie down. On top of all that I think this is one of the most fun SGM's I've played for a while.
