At first I was very far. Then, I suddenly had a massive cut bringing me down to 12 off. From there, there was a section where I was certain that I can cut somewhat, so I worked on that one alone and came down to 8 off. That's where I'm stuck now. And for that 8 off, I have two completely different routes and do hope that one of them offers a further optimization.
This level is really great because there is no boredom thanks to the many possible variations in each sections. I still have ideas about what to try. That's good, otherwise, I would probably give it up. :D
Such giant fun! I really enjoyed solving this puzzle, bit by bit, first miles away, then suddenly a massive cut for about 40 off, then a second massive cut for about 12 off off, and then a 3rd massive new cut for a straight win...
I would give 6 stars if it would be possible. :D
The 2 off kept me busy for a very long time.
Today, it became clear to me that the routes I try are fully optimized and will never lead me to a win.
So I tried different, testing routes that seem longer at first. And that was a surprise: they led me to 2 off all the same! So they're not longer and allow for new perspectives. I carefully study one of them and was able to cut 2 steps straight on that one.
Soooooooooo glad to be done.
That level was strange to me. Logic was the key to the route, but optimizing to solve the 2 off I got was a bother.
At some point, I cut the 2 steps, but I wasn't able to identify the difference versus the routes I tried before that.
I was lucky enough to be on the correct route from the first. My 2 off was "only" a matter of ordering. Fun level.
Side note: in the ending zone, there are two different routings leading to 100.
It was a 2 episodes story for me on this level. First finding the exit, but I was far away. Then optimizing, but I got 2 off and was stuck a long time. Earlier I finally cut the 2 steps. Glad me.
I don't know what was my 2 steps saver. I believe it wasn't a route variation, but just a block I pushed for nothing since I could take it with me on my way back later. Not sure though.
