I actually found the main path pretty quick, but I was missing out on a more trivial 2 off. I think this means I got lucky because I didn't get distracted by other paths!
This level is black magic. I have absolutely 0 idea why that works. I mean I could just count the moves saved vs. moves spent, but it still wonβt make sense to me. Crazy solution.
I needed around 50 tries, just because idiot me forgot about one important rule of this game: "the order in which we do things matters". Once it finally occurs to me that I hadn't tried a different order, the next try won... *banging head on table*
Fantastic array of 2-off paths, many potential options, good use of space, interesting lock structure... Absolutely brilliant all around. Solution is quite satisfying, as well.
What makes this level so tough is that the solutions are usually the most aggressive cuts, but here you need to hold back a little bit, which interestingly could make the solution much trickier. This is a great test of a player's ability to analyze step counts.
