I'm a bit with @Hem. There is no trick to find here (where Ernie still had a possible 2 off) and the only "challenge" is finding the correct exit.
But imho there are at least 4 exits of interest at first glance which could confuse a beginner and have them go for the wrong one at first.
While I appreciate the effort to iterate on another level, this almost goes too far in the opposite extreme, where the number of paths is essentially defined by the number of exits, and rather than present a meaningful puzzle, this level just makes players try all the different paths to see which one is the right one.
