Yeeeeeees! I finally solved it! :))
This was such an enjoyable quest!
From the start I fell for the tricky set up and was getting enormous count of steps, LOL. But then I saw the possible cuts and brought it down to around 220+. From there to 204 it was still a long way, for me.
Now I sit, a bit tired from the journey, but with this feeling of accomplishment. :)))

For me, the struggle was to reach 6 off. Once so far, the 2 off was straight on next try and cutting the last 2 steps needed just one more. Really fun level. :)
